Taking care of your dinosaurs is one of the most important, if not the most important, things you do in Jurassic World Evolution 2. A dinosaur that feels safe and happy is less likely to break out of its enclosure to chomp on guests. Status checks help you to create the best enclosures possible to keep your dinosaurs safe and happy. It shows you the comfort level of the dinosaur, how suitable it finds its environment and if it is missing anything important such as "missing live prey". Status checks show you the basic needs of the dinosaur and if you're meeting them. You will need to stay still until the scan is complete but once it has finished you should leave as fast as possible. Once the dinosaur is in range, click the prompted control to scan it. If you're too far away from the dinosaur then the scanner/target control will say that the dinosaur is out of range and you will need to get closer. If you're unsure which control this is you can check it in your controls settings in the pause menu. When you're in the enclosure, you will need to get as close as possible to your dinosaur and then hit your "target" button.
